Designs Genius is me, Sébastien Lopez. Nineteen years of custom-built websites for people with a real trade. And for the past few years, an artificial intelligence that has earned its place on the workbench: not to do the work for me, but to make it better, faster, without ever dropping the thread.

One craftsman, not an army.
When you write here, I’m the one who answers. I design, I code, I ship, I pick up the phone when something breaks. Since 2007 I’ve built, rebuilt and looked after some forty sites that are still running today: theatres, festivals, artisans, medical publishers, laboratories.
Custom isn’t a sales pitch, it’s an occupational habit: I’ve never sold the same site twice.
AI is a tool. Like the soldering iron.
No “powered by” badge here, no magic. AI works at the shop every day, same as my editor or my terminal: it audits a fleet of thirty-five sites while the coffee brews, migrates content without losing a line, tests every screen while I design the next one. It holds the third hand.
What it doesn’t do: choose, design, decide what’s right for your project. That’s nineteen years of craft. And that doesn’t get delegated.

The corporate site of an international group that reads physician conviction before it shows up in prescription data. A locked palette, twenty therapeutic areas driven by the client, four languages ready at launch.

The Grand Est resource centre for children’s literature turns forty, with a new name and a festival in October. A WordPress theme cut by hand, school classes booking online, and a monthly letter that goes out from the same place as the news, without passing through me.

Dexia Group’s summer party at the Villa Windsor: an Art-déco event site stitched for a single evening. Invitation, programme, directions and staff registration, from Paris to Brussels, in three languages.

The complete overhaul of a medical pancreatology portal, shipped in June: redesigned from the ground up in Bootstrap 5, migrated and put back into production without losing a single article. Senior subcontracting for a medical press publisher.
