Designs Genius is Sébastien Lopez: nineteen years of designing and building custom websites for cultural institutions, non-profits, businesses and medical publishers. Artificial intelligence is a production tool; design and decisions remain human.

From design to maintenance, one person accountable.
Every project is handled end to end by the same person: scoping, visual design, development, launch, maintenance. You know who to turn to, and that person knows your site in detail. Since 2007 I have designed or rebuilt some forty sites that I still maintain today: theatres, festivals, non-profits, retailers, medical publishers, laboratories.
Each site is designed for its purpose. No template is reused from one client to the next.
Artificial intelligence in the service of reliability.
AI is part of my everyday production tools. I use it to audit a fleet of thirty-five sites, migrate content without loss and test every screen systematically. These tasks are now faster and better controlled.
Design, technical choices and final sign-off remain my responsibility. They rest on nineteen years of experience.

Every site has a story. Here are seven.

First and foremost a working tool, with one end goal: putting on an exhibition. More than a hundred artist records managed in one place, cross-referenced data (works, jury decisions, payments, mailings) and tracking statistics on the dashboard. For the jury, a judging window; for the secretary, a cockpit on every record; for the designer, a pack that fills InDesign automatically.

The corporate site of an international group that reads physician conviction before it shows up in prescription data. A locked palette, twenty therapeutic areas driven by the client, four languages ready at launch.

The Grand Est resource centre for children’s literature turns forty, with a new name and a festival in October. A custom WordPress theme, school classes booking online, and a monthly letter that goes out from the same place as the news, without passing through me.

Dexia Group’s summer party at the Villa Windsor: an Art-déco event site designed for a single evening. Invitation, programme, directions and staff registration, from Paris to Brussels, in three languages.

The complete overhaul of a medical pancreatology portal, shipped in June: redesigned from the ground up in Bootstrap 5, migrated and put back into production without losing a single article. Senior subcontracting for a medical press publisher.

Every site ships with its own AI assistance.
Every project I deliver comes with AI assistance: ChatGPT or Claude, connected to your site through an official connector. You make a request in plain language (new opening hours, a news item, a photo to replace), and the assistant prepares the change and submits it to you before publishing.
The framework is set at handover. The assistant works from a dedicated account limited to content: it has no access to the design, the plugins or payments. A backup precedes every change, and any change can be undone.
You run the site’s day-to-day on your own, without waiting for a contractor. Technology, security and further development remain my responsibility.
Switch the shop to summer hours from 1 July: 9 am to 1 pm, Tuesday to Saturday. And announce it on the home page.
